Director of Education and Scholarly Communication at Microsoft
Roy oversees the development of next generation research and technology tools for colleges and universitites. He is skilled in community outreach and international development and a former Peace Corps Volunteer with specialties in conducting needs assessments, strategic plannin, and project design and management.
He’s also held positions as the Director of Programs for Higher Education for Development, Deputy Director of Global Initiatives at the American Institutes for Research, and Senior Project Director at Education Development Center. Roy has a PhD/ M.A. in Education from University of California, Los Angeles where his dissertaion focused on the role of teachers in the integration of education technology systems. He also has a B.A. in History and Education from Emory University.
