OMPT all over the world!

World Health Organization in Liberia

OMPT recently concluded a project with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Liberia. Program Manager Claire Pelley traveled to Liberia to facilitate a video education workshop for 20 WHO staff members. Each participant was able to create a brief behavior change video relating to health communication – like immunization promotion and proper waste disposal at health facilities. OMPT delivered 30 camera kits, 30 projector kits and 30 recharging kits. The workshop was a success and we are looking forward to seeing the content they continue to create. Keep an eye on our YouTube Channel for updates.

Videomakers Without Borders member Mike Wilhelm will is facilitating the video education workshop in Baja Verapaz, Guatemala for Plan staff. OMPT is pleased to have facilitated two workshops in October. Moveover, we are delighted that our intervention is continuing to be applied in various regions and sectors.

November 2nd is International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists

This day urges Member States of the UN to implement defined measure countering the present culture of impunity for crimes against journalists. In its 68th session in 2013 the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution which designated November 2 as a day of observance in commemoration of the assassination of 2 French journalist in Mali on November 2, 2013. The resolution condemns attacks against journalists & media workers and implores Member States to take action to prevent violence and seek justice for the victims and their families.
