"In Spring 2011, I participated as an intern for One Media Player per Teacher (OMPT). The organization has really touched my heart and gave me a new outlook on life. I didn't realize the impact we can have on education in developing countries, being so far away from them. OMPT has the ability to make a positive impact on millions of underprivileged children, teachers, and farmers from the power of video.

My objectives while interning at OMPT were very engaging. I had the responsibility of researching similar organizations' projects, gathering M&E reports, and developing the website. The work was always very interesting and heart-touching because I have a strong passion for helping others and enjoy witnessing a positive effect. It is gratifying to know that the work I have contributed could possibly help save millions of lives.

The staff at OMPT is incredible! It is amazing to see everyone's passion and enthusiasm towards the non-profit organization. Matt York and Melanie Smith were extremely valuable in guiding and educating me with skills that are not only necessary for work, but also for life. I had a fantastic experience at OMPT and will forever be connected to their vision. I thank my OMPT family for giving me the opportunity to contribute my skills; I really got a lot out of my time spent here. I wish OMPT the best of luck and thank them for everything!

"During my internship, I have researched various non-governmental organizations in Central America. It has been a fulfilling experience since I have been able to use my skills for a good cause. Having encountered numerous organizations around the world online, I have been inspired by the motivation of those who established and operate those organizations. I have also learned that there are various approaches to contribute the world and communities. It is nice to work with other interns and volunteers who have different skills because we can help each other.

One day we had a chance to meet a lady from Haiti who established an orphanage there. It was inspiring to listen to her hands-on experiences about her work. A semester with OMPT has passed so quickly and I wish I could have started earlier. At OMPT, you will be able to contribute by performing any skills you have, such as researching and translation. I was able to deepen my understanding of how a non-governmental organization works and reach out internationally.
